(double click on images to download) Cover Art Press Photo Bio Return of the Magical Molerat Link Meanie’s band THE BAKELITE AGE who have been playing and recording for the last four years are releasing their third album and it’s a bobby dazzler. With the subtle experimentation of their previous records, it flows with more cohesion than ever before while still managing to suprise from start to finish. They are currently arranging a national tour to launch “RETURN OF THE MAGIC MOLERAT” which comes out on the adventurous SPOOKY RECORDS, the label. that has brought us such greats as Spencer P. Jones (Beasts of Bourbon, the Johnnys) and the Drones etc. With members past or present from such diverse bands as (The Meanies, The Tomorrow People, The Breadmakers, Shutdown 66, Ripe, Snout, Dan Brodies Broken arrows, Dung, and Golden Showers) bringing a wealth of experience and versatility to the studio you start to get some idea of the nature of “MOLERAT”. It’s schizo, but on a good dose of meds to rein it in and stop it decorating the studio walls with it’s own faeces while wearing a tin foil hat(figuratively speaking of course). THE BAKERS (all Australian bands must be abbreviated after the first couple of years of their existence) launch their album on SAT NOV 3rd at THE TOTE HOTEL in Collingwood. Supporting on the night will be the manic garage of THE PINK FITS (ex Tumbleweed NSW) SAILORS AND SWINE and STOMPBOX.
